"Good things from around the world, made with the heart, in the fair way".

Welcome to Pink Pampas' World

Project, concept and brand: where did it all come from and which was the mission?

During a trip to Belize the idea of creating a new project was born: it would have as its heart the enhancement of artisan techniques and skills, so typical of those far away cultures.

Studying a way to find a combination between European stylistic rules and local Folk heritage, we could spread a renewed vision of craftsmanship by creating highly recognizable design objects, contemporary and “moving”.

They should transmit the joy we found in such remote places, the quality of craftsmanship and a perception of magic, given to the social and geographic kilometers traveled by each object before heading to us.

They had to be “touching” pieces, irresistible for their colors combination and the vibrant symbolism, which assign a special place at home.

A new synergical creative wave made by multiple elements, in order to give birth to a specially-made decorative background, to be “shared” throughout digital technology.

In this way we could transmit and preserve local centuries-old traditions, safeguarding involved artisans and communities’ job and creating new economic opportunities, in order to enhanced their life conditions.

A positive virtuous circle based on authenticity, beauty, souls’ nourishment.

And so, after months spent analyzing the market to understand the real feasibility of the project, we decide to leave for Mexico, a destination on top of our travel list since long time, looking for artisan most interesting sites.

It was the October of 2016.

Every great dream and project brings with it satisfactions and obstacles.

How did you manage up & down?

Difficulties sharpen our wits and daily train our endurance!

The trick is to always keep ourselves focused on the main target, facing every situation step by step.

Only in this way the obstacles turn into growing opportunities.

We reveal that at the beginning of our adventure we didn’t even speak Spanish: we sorted it out with an app!

Here are some of the small and big "problems" that we daily face with, in order to carry out our commitment: linguistic and communicative gaps, such as geographical and logistical issues. Some artisans don’t even have a phone, nor of course a bank account to receive the money; others live in remote areas, reachable only with more than one day travelling and changing different means of transportation.

Many indigenous communities who live in the mountains don’t speak Spanish, but only the local dialect, such as the "tzotzil", an ancient Mayan language spoken in the state of Chiapas.

In those cases we had to get an interpreter which would allow us to communicate with them and set up the collaboration.

A great satisfaction that deserves all our efforts.

Giulia Patuelli and Filippo Fadini, the founders of Pink Pampas.
But who are you?

My name is Giulia; I was born in Brescia in 1982. As soon as I come of age I move to Milan to study law.

I become a lawyer working in Italian and international law firms, but actually I don’t feel myself fully satisfied with my path. I miss something.

So at 29 years-old I follow my instinct and I choose to start again, with a first fashion internship.

Even the equal in age Filippo lives in Milan, where he studies economics and follows his father’s path in construction industry, with rhythms and stress skyrocketing, constantly racing between construction sites all around Italy.

As soon as we can we travel, last minute & low cost, always following the sun, exploring the world and discovering new sensations of freedom every time.

A key word for this life’s moment is "Wanderlust".

The term indicates a strong desire of discovery and exploration and reflects the clear need of personal self-development, facing unforeseen challenges and learning unknown cultures.

We fall in love with South American Countries, starting collecting pieces handmade by local artisans, realized in the most incredible colors.

Journey after journey, our perception of life’s priorities changes: we want to work on an business project that could reflect our passions and could generate a virtuous circle of value.

That’s how that it all starts..

Where did the name Pink Pampas come from?

The name of the brand has an inspirational meaning.

Pampas are typical plants from Argentinian Pampas, perennial, wild, impressive and really spectacular.

They prefer the warm sun, but they can resist even below zero.

Pink is a color full of meaning: it spreads positive energy and symbolizes gratitude.

Moreover, Pampas are an "overrunning" type of plant: once the first ones start growing in a specific place, they have the ability to spread autonomously all around, limitless.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
JOY & SUSTAINABILITY

“Good things from around the world, made with the heart, in the fair way”.

Travelling develops our perception and enriches the soul, making our life’s priorities clear.

The everlasting impulse to discover new worlds, together with the passion for authentic handmade objects, drove us to create a project aimed at spreading out a contemporary reinterpretation of ancient craftsmanship traditions.

Pink Pampas started a new creative colorful wave of positive emotions, developing a collection of decorative objects handmade by local Master Artisans and born from the combination of different cultures and styles.

The main goal is to generate a virtuous circle of value for all the people ethically involved in the project: we are so able to preserve their work, creating new economic opportunities and enhancing their life conditions.

In this way a New Vision of craftsmanship starts, introducing a New Design Era.

We call it “New Folk”.

Mexico wants to be just the beginning. Pink Pampas is a growing universe characterized by continuous new inclusions of artisan cultures typical from different areas, spreading an always recognizable vibrant aesthetic language.

A unique style developed for décor world that naturally flowed into Fashion Design, starting from Maxi Illustrations digitally realized.
